As of 2016 it is forbidden for locals to gamble in South Korea, apart from one designated remote property. Despite this there has been considerable development activity centred around 2 areas: Jeju Island & Incheon, near Seoul. Atticus Search has made placements into South Korea and expects this to increase over the coming years.
